Overdue Pregnancy

Have you gone past your due date? It is normal to give birth a week or two after your due date. Pregnancy can go overdue due to many reasons. If you are concerned about overdue pregnancy, watch this video.

When you’re pregnant past your due date, you might go stir crazy with the waiting. It is very common for expecting mothers to go beyond their due date. Statistically, only about five percent of women actually give birth according to the estimated due date.

In most cases, the EDD is calculated on the basis of the last menstrual period (LMP). As 14th day of mensuration is considered as the ovulation phase, the estimated due date calculated may overestimate the age by two weeks. Due to this miscalculation, pregnancy gets termed as overdue.

Check out this video to know the causes and risks of overdue pregnancy along with the tips to survive it.
