An essential skill in raising a child with autism is knowing how to toilet train. But to no surprise, this can be really complicated for parents and professionals to teach. That’s why I’ve created a toilet training guide for parents and professionals which covers potty training tips, and specifically how to potty train special needs kids.

In today’s toilet training video, I’m reviewing a few of the main toilet training tips in my guide. I’ll also be talking a little bit about what autism potty training strategies you should not implement, which you may have heard of. For example, dry pants checks, and positive practice are two methods that I don’t include in my potty training steps.
