Those Moments When I Experienced Tremendous Personal and Professional Growth in a Very Short Time

Life has a way of pushing us to grow quickly, often in ways we don’t expect. Many of my most transformative moments came at times when I had no choice but to evolve rapidly. These moments, whether difficult or joyous, shaped me profoundly, and looking back, I see that every one of them—whether it felt like a blessing or a curse at the time—was essential for my growth. Here are the twelve key moments that have shaped who I am today, both personally and professionally:

  1. School Bullying at Age 15
At 15, I was bullied at school. It was a painful and isolating experience, but it also sparked something in me. I decided to express my feelings through writing, and alongside that, I completely reinvented myself. I lost five kilos, changed my hair from brunette to blonde, embraced a more glamorous style, and most importantly, I regained my self-confidence. Just two years later, I published my first book. This experience taught me the importance of resilience, self-expression, and the power of transformation.
  2. Leaving a Toxic Job
I worked for a psychologist in a toxic environment that left me drained. One day, I made the bold decision to leave. I re-enrolled in university, studying theology and high-level communication, which ultimately led to opportunities in public speaking, media, and therapeutic work. This leap allowed me to redefine my career and take control of my future. It showed me the power of choosing growth over comfort.
  3. Becoming a Mother at 30
The birth of my first child at 30 gave me a newfound sense of empathy, stability, and purpose. Motherhood reshaped me, teaching me patience, resilience, and deep compassion. It gave me the strength to face challenges with a different perspective and became a foundation of personal growth and transformation that has continued to influence my life and career.
  4. Ending a Toxic Relationship
I briefly found myself in a relationship with a manipulative narcissist, and although it only lasted five months, it had a profound impact on me. This experience taught me exactly what I didn’t want in my life. It made me realize the importance of boundaries and self-respect, and helped me rebuild my confidence. I emerged from it stronger, wiser, and more attuned to the types of relationships that nourish me.
  5. Marrying a Wonderful Partner
Marrying my husband was one of the best decisions of my life. He’s supportive, complementary, and my biggest fan. With his encouragement, I embraced my multi-faceted artistic nature and pursued creative projects I may not have considered otherwise. Together, we’ve grown and inspired each other, and his unwavering support continues to motivate me to be my best self in every aspect of my life.
  6. Restoring Our Dream Home
My husband and I bought a fixer-upper in a small Champagne village, and we spent seven years restoring it. In the end, we transformed it into a beautiful pink townhouse in Vichy, a dream come true. The process taught us patience, perseverance, and the power of shared vision. It brought us closer as a couple and showed me that even the most challenging projects can yield incredible results if you’re willing to put in the work.
  7. Moving to a Spa Town
Relocating to a picturesque spa town surrounded by nature and beauty was a transformative experience. The change of scenery inspired me, making me feel stronger, more motivated, and more attuned to the simple joys of life. This move renewed my creative energy and deepened my gratitude for the beauty around me. It reminded me of the importance of creating an environment that nurtures my well-being.
  8. Losing a Dear Friend
The loss of one of my closest friends was devastating, but it also taught me a profound lesson about the value of love. I came to understand that love is the ultimate purpose of our lives and that it transcends time and space. This loss deepened my empathy and made me more connected to those around me, as well as more attuned to the intangible, invisible connections that bind us all.
  9. Starting My Own Energy Healing Practice
Starting my own practice in distance energy healing allowed me to connect with clients around the world. Every day, I work with people from different cultures, offering support and healing from afar. This experience has deepened my understanding of the human spirit, and it’s been incredibly fulfilling to help others on their own journeys of healing and growth.
  10. A Transformative Trip to India
Traveling to India was a life-changing experience that deeply impacted me. It was there that I learned to fully appreciate and bless my life, my body, and my mind. Since then, I’ve committed myself to continuous learning, studying philosophy, theology, humanities, and more. Even at nearly 50, I am still eager to grow and expand my understanding of the world. India taught me that life is an ongoing journey of learning, evolving, and expanding our consciousness.
  11. Speaking on Well-being and Life’s Purpose
Over time, I began speaking at conferences on well-being and life’s purpose. I also had the privilege of addressing high school and university students, discussing resilience, self-worth, and the deeper meaning of life. Sharing my experiences and insights with young people has been incredibly fulfilling. It’s become one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, and it’s a reminder of the importance of passing on wisdom to the next generation.
  12. Becoming a Mother Again at 40
At 40, I welcomed my second child, and it felt like a new beginning. Holding a baby again brought me a deep sense of joy and gratitude. It reminded me of the preciousness of life and the beauty of starting anew, no matter what stage of life we’re in. This second chance at motherhood has reinvigorated me, giving me renewed purpose and a deeper connection to the present moment.
  13. Taking Charge of a Disorganized Team of Journalists
One of the most unexpected and pivotal moments in my career came when I was suddenly asked to manage a team of 15 disorganized journalists. Out of nowhere, I found myself appointed Editor-in-Chief of a major magazine, despite being a therapist who had previously only contributed as an expert. It was a high-pressure situation, but I rose to the challenge, organizing the team, setting goals, and ensuring we met deadlines. This experience taught me the power of leadership, adaptability, and self-confidence, even in the face of uncertainty. It was a turning point that opened up new career paths I had never imagined.

Conclusion
Looking back on these transformative moments, I realize that life is filled with opportunities for growth, even when it feels difficult or overwhelming. Each experience, whether joyous or challenging, has shaped me into who I am today. And in each moment, I learned that we always have the power to evolve, adapt, and move forward. Life is beautiful if we choose to embrace it and the lessons it offers. If we remain open to growth, there are endless possibilities for transformation and fulfillment. So, let’s embrace every part of our journey—because life is what we make of it, and it truly is beautiful when we choose to see it that way.
