Our Experience with the Spring Free Trampoline [No Spring Trampolines]

Springfree trampoline questions have been coming my way about the spring free trampoline in my backyard.  I can’t even count the number of questions I have answered about owning a no spring trampoline over the last few years.

Back in fall of 2018, my son started asking for a trampoline to add to our backyard. I never had a trampoline growing up, so I wasn’t too familiar with the options out there.

Why Did We Choose a Spring free Trampoline?

We were doing some research to make a backyard trampoline purchase when we were approached by Springfree to partner for this article.  After a little more research, the answer was…of course.

Here are some of the reasons why we originally partnered with Springfree and now 3 years later are still very happy with our Spring Free trampoline.

1. No Spring Trampolines are Reported to Be Safer

You won’t find metal springs on these trampolines. In fact, you won’t find springs at all.

Springfree Trampoline utilizes composite rods to create bounce, which eliminates the possibility of your kid getting pinched by trampoline parts.

2. Spring Free Trampolines Come with a Safety Net

One of my favorite features is the flexible safety net that surrounds the Springfree Trampoline. My son *loves* jumping into the sides of ours — the net cushions falls and guides jumpers back onto the jumping surface, which is especially fun for kids. I love that there is no chance for him to fall off the trampoline and get injured.

3. No Spring Trampolines Have Soft Edges

I also love the SoftEdge Mat, which eliminates any hard edges at the jumping surface and absorbs 30 times more impact than traditional trampoline padding.

I don’t have to worry about my kid getting stuck between the springs or falling through with this technology.

4. Spring Free Trampolines Have Hidden Trampoline Frames

Plus, the frame is hidden beneath the mat on a Springfree Trampoline, so jumpers can’t hit it.

5. Springfree Trampoline is Sturdy

Each Springfree Trampoline comes with a 10-year warranty.

The materials are designed to withstand even the harshest outdoor conditions, so no extra covers or storage are required.

This was important to me because we live in Texas, where the summers get super-hot and we can expect a few ice storms in the winter. I wanted to be sure that our trampoline wouldn’t deteriorate in harsh weather, and so far it hasn’t.

In fact, our trampoline has had a ton of use over the last 3 years and it looks like it is new.

Low Impact Trampoline

One of the first things my son said to me after he got on our Springfree Trampoline was that he liked the way it felt when he jumped.

Because of the way that Spring free Trampolines are built, you get a much smoother, non-jarring bounce when you jump.

The technology behind Springfree Trampolines is different from your traditional trampoline. Rods under the mat flex towards the center, then pull straight back out, creating a smooth and extra-bouncy motion.

This low-impact bounce is much easier on joints — like knees and ankles — than traditional trampolines.

Trampoline as a Family Gift

A recent survey Springfree conducted found that 71% of Texas parents say their kids play with their toys for less than six months after the holidays and that nearly two-thirds of parents aren’t sure that money spent on holiday toys is a good investment.

Since our Springfree Trampoline was installed, my son has gone outside almost daily to jump — even if it’s just for five minutes.

Andrew will play imaginary games on the jump surface. I once even found him lying on the trampoline reading a book.

A Springfree Trampoline is a great way to enjoy fun, safe playtime together as a family. My kiddo and I will take turns jumping to see who can get the highest. He usually wins.

Last week I went out to find my husband and dog jumping alongside him.  The entire family is enjoying the trampoline.

More About Trampoline Safety

A trampoline is an investment and it’s one that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

There were nearly 286,000 medically treated trampoline injuries in 2014 in the United States, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Where to Buy a Springfree Trampoline

Safety is so important, and that’s why we chose Springfree Trampoline for our family. To try it for yourself, there are two Springfree stores in Dallas where you can test jump and speak with trampoline experts to pick the best fit for your backyard.
