Looking for the best things to do in Atlanta this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your weekend list!
Brrr, it officially feels like winter in Atlanta and that means kids can throw on jackets and hit the ice skating rinks that are still open for a few more weeks. We like Avalon on Ice, the Rink at Park Tavern and Skate the Station at Atlantic Station, just to name a few. Another reason to bundle up and get outdoors? The Winter Family Night Hike at the Chattahoochee Nature Center on Saturday night, complete with a campfire and s’mores. It’s also the final weekend for Winter Wonderland at Fernbank, with its giant snow globes and sock “ice” skating rink.
For more winter family fun, check out our list of 25 Things We Are Excited To Do in Atlanta This Winter (teasers: snow tubing, a new exhibit at the Children’s Museum, and a jugglers festival). If you feel like escaping the city, just for the day, we have awesome ideas for Wonderful Day Trips from Atlanta.
Be sure to check with the venue for its COVID guidelines and requirements before heading out to any event. Some events are getting canceled or postponed at the last minute due to the latest COVID surge.
