1. Alstede Farms – Chester

Enjoy a farm-to-table Mother’s Day brunch buffet with a side of springtime fun at Alstede Farms’ weekend-long Mother’s Day celebration. Advanced tickets are required and sold per time slot. There are three time slots available for Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8: 9am, 11am, and 1pm. Mother’s day brunch is sold per table with options for a table of four, six, or eight seats. Enjoy fruit and salads, a carving station, breakfast options such as eggs, frittatas, sausage, and more. Lunch options, including chicken and pasta are also available. Add on an activities plus ticket so your kids can burn off some post-brunch energy with a pony ride, wagon train ride, and bounce house.

2. Amanda’s – Hoboken

A Hoboken staple for more than 25 years, Amanda’s serves one of the best Mother’s Day brunches in town. The menu has all your favorites, like Belgian waffles, eggs Benedict, omelets, sandwiches, and more.

3. The Architects Golf Club – Lopatcong

Make a reservation at The Architect’s Club for a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet that’s open to the public. You’ll find an omelet station, hot chafing dishes with breakfast and lunch items, a carving station, kids’ options, and tons of desserts (including an ice cream sundae station). Pre-payment is required for all reservations.

4. Battello – Jersey City

Mother’s Day brunch at Batello promises a very special meal accompanied by live jazz music. Choose between the brunch buffet with carving and omelet stations, antipasto and dessert, or the a la carte menu featuring a host of entrees, like eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, or avocado toast. There are plenty of fresh seafood options, too, such as oysters, shrimp, and more. Reservations are highly recommended.

5. Biagio’s – Paramus

This Italian restaurant is hosting a big Mother’s Day brunch buffet. In addition to continental breakfast options, enjoy made-to-order omelets, a carving station with four different types of meat, and more than a dozen hot buffet items from scrambled eggs and pancakes to penne vodka and calamari. And, of course, don’t miss the dessert table.

6. Brass Rail – Hoboken

This Hoboken standby is well-loved by locals and does a great Mother’s Day brunch. Enjoy two courses plus a drink. Choose from banana’s foster French toast, a breakfast tostada, omelets, sandwiches, and more.

7. Liberty House – Jersey City

The restaurant’s Hudson River view isn’t the only sight to behold. The Mother’s Day brunch buffet offers a delicious variety including waffles, salads, seafood, and pasta entrees, a carving station, and an omelet station. Dine outside and enjoy some spectacular views of NYC.

8. Capital Grille — Parsippany and Paramus

Opening early just for moms, the Capital Grille serves its full dinner menu plus three Mother’s Day brunch specials—lobster frittata, steak and eggs, and filet mignon—from 11am-2pm. Reservations are strongly recommended.

9. Faubourg – Montclair

Feeling French? Dining at Faubourg instantly transports mom to a chic brasserie along the Champs-Élysées. The two-course prix fixe Mother’s Day brunch menu starts with a choice of fruit, parfait, salad, or a duck terrine, with French toast, croque-monsieur, and beef bourguignon available for entrees. A la carte items include lobster rolls, eggs, and seafood dishes.

10. Fire & Oak – Jersey City

Brunch at this swanky, modern restaurant feels special on any weekend, but especially on Mother’s Day. Starters include warm doughnuts with dunking sauces plus savory options like spinach and artichoke dip and tuna tartar tacos. There are many great brunch plate options, too, whether you’re in the mood for sandwiches, salads, eggs, pancakes, or French toast.

11. Grillestone – Scotch Plains, Old Bridge

Grillestone’s Sunday brunch menu does not disappoint. Mother’s Day bunch seatings start at 11:30. Enjoy a four-course meal for a queen with plenty of family-friendly options. Dine inside or on the patio. If you’re more in the mood for Italian, its sister restaurant Grano Pizzeria and Italian Tavern in Scotch Plains also has Mother’s Day brunch feast which includes an amazing brunch pizza topped with mozzarella, ricotta, bacon, sunny side up eggs, and fresh basil.

12. Halcyon – Montclair

If mom is a seafood lover, Halcyon is the place to go for Mother’s Day brunch. Start with oysters or a jumbo shrimp cocktail. There are also spicy tuna tartare mini tacos, crab cakes, and paella. The kids’ brunch menu offers sliders, tenders, and even a Shirley Temple!

13. Ivy Inn – Hasbrouck Heights

Looking for a special spot? Bring the family to this historic inn for delicious brunch fare in a cozy, quiet atmosphere. The sit-down brunch boasts a great selection of drinks and appetizers as well as entrees that include a bacon, cheddar, and tomato omelet; chicken and waffles; and a traditional eggs Benedict. A children’s menu offers scrambled eggs, chicken fingers, and sliders; top it all off with ice cream sundaes.

14. Madison Bar and Grill – Hoboken

The Sunday brunch at Madison includes poached eggs, eggs Benedict, and a popular favorite: creme brulee French toast. Don’t forget to save room for dessert.

15. Lorena’s Restaurant & Bar – Maplewood

Lorena’s is an ideal spot to celebrate Mother’s Day brunch. This seasonally-inspired French-American restaurant offers a three-course menu starting at noon. With burrata, risotto, mussels, and cheesecake on the menu, it’s a meal mom won’t forget.

16. Molos Restaurant – Weehawken

Seafood lovers rejoice. This two-story Greek and Mediterranean-inspired seafood restaurant on the Hudson River has an interesting Mother’s Day brunch menu. Appetizers run the gamut from fried calamari to jumbo shrimp. The main course offers options like salmon, scallops, steak, and lamb chops. A children’s menu is available.

17. Mulberry House – Westfield

This spot is perfect for a multigenerational Mother’s Day brunch. Enjoy tea time with scones, tea sandwiches, salad, and sweets. Heartier fare includes stuffed French toast, scrambled eggs, frittatas, and salmon stuffed with crabmeat. Reservations are required. Time slots are 10am, 10:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm, and 2pm.

18. McLoone’s Boathouse – West Orange

Located within the South Mountain Recreation Complex, McLoone’s Boathouse sits on the banks of the reservoir, offering a family-style Mother’s Day brunch with a spectacular view. Try the shrimp, clams on the half-shell, and oysters at the raw bar. Design your own omelet, or feast on bacon, sausage, or meats from the carving station. French toast, scrambled eggs, and home fries round out the wide assortment, along with cookies and desserts.

19. The Olde Mill Inn & Grain House Restaurant – Basking Ridge

21. Stage House Tavern – Somerset

You won’t go hungry at this fun pub that’s known for its large brunch portions. On Mother’s Day, splurge on shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, French toast, and several types of eggs Benedict.

The Summit House Mother’s Day brunch offering is a three-course prix fixe menu. Family-style starters include vanilla-glazed monkey bread. Entrees range from avocado toast to shrimp risotto. Cap off your delicious meal with strawberry cheesecake or petits fours.

23. Tops Diner – Harrison

You simply can’t go wrong with a diner, and Tops is the best in the state. Recently renovated with an upscale, retro vibe, snag a coveted table here for mom to dine on classic brunch items, such as huevos rancheros, fruit-topped waffles, churro French toast, and eggs served a multitude of ways.

24. Winberie’s – Summit

Housed in Summit’s historic Opera House, Winberie’s brunch menu is a special treat. Crispy calamari and cajun macaroni and cheese complement traditional brunch items such as poached eggs with biscuits, steak and eggs, omelets, and lunch fare.
